Bold. Transformative. Rigorous. Passionate.

The American labor market is broken. Technology has evolved but systems and skills have not, leaving many behind. JFF is driving the change needed to revolutionize and realign the American workforce and education systems. This transition is happening now.

Building a future that works.

JFF is a national nonprofit that designs, scales, and influences systems change in the U.S. education and workforce fields.

JFF is celebrating 35 years in 2018

JFF was founded in 1983, working with early partners including Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton, to help states assess and bridge workforce skills gaps. We have grown our innovative program and policy work to 42 states in partnership with leading philanthropic organizations and major public sector investments. This is the foundation on which we build.

JFF exists to align more people toward a future in which economic mobility, dignified work, and automation are equal partners in the American dream. Join us as we build a future that works.
